DESCRIPTION:Del 20 al 23 de octubre de 2026\, la Universidad de Valparaíso será sede de las XLVIII Jornadas Nacionales de Estadística\, organizadas conjuntamente por el Instituto de Estadística de la Universidad de Valparaíso y la Sociedad Chilena de Estadística (SOCHE). \nEste encuentro científico reunirá a especialistas\, académicos\, profesionales y jóvenes investigadores para compartir avances en teoría y aplicaciones de la estadística. DESCRIPTION:The COBAL-EBEB 2027 is an international scientific event that brings together the VIII Latin American Meeting on Bayesian Statistics (COBAL) and the XVIII Brazilian Meeting on Bayesian Statistics (EBEB). Scheduled to take place from March 1 to 5\, 2027\, in Búzios\, Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil. The event will gather the Bayesian community—particularly from Brazil and Latin America—further consolidating its role as an important forum for scientific exchange. \n COBAL is promoted by the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA)\, with the support of several Latin American statistical associations\, including those from Brazil\, Chile\, Colombia\, and Mexico. Its primary goal is to strengthen the integration of Latin American researchers working in Bayesian Statistics. EBEB\, in turn\, has been organized biennially by Brazilian researchers since 1991 and\, since 2000\, by ISBrA (the Brazilian chapter of ISBA). It has played a central role in the consolidation of Bayesian Statistics in Brazil while progressively expanding its international reach. The joint realization of both events enhances their visibility and impact by fostering the convergence of different communities around shared challenges and advances.
