SUMMARY:1ª Jornada Nacional de Educación Estadística de Chile
DESCRIPTION:La 1ª Jornada Nacional de Educación Estadística de Chile (JNEDES 1) se llevará a cabo los días 15 y 16 de diciembre de 2025 en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso\, Chile\, bajo modalidad presencial con transmisión vía streaming. Este evento académico tiene como propósito consolidar un espacio de encuentro y divulgación de resultados en el ámbito de la educación en estadística\, probabilidades y ciencia de datos\, convocando a docentes\, investigadores y estudiantes vinculados a estas disciplinas. Con un alcance nacional e internacional\, la jornada busca fomentar el intercambio de conocimientos y experiencias que contribuyan al fortalecimiento y desarrollo de estas áreas del conocimiento en Chile y América Latina. \nBajo el lema «Construyendo nuevos espacios de la educación estadística en Chile»\, la JNEDES 1 ofrecerá un programa diverso que incluirá conferencias\, conversatorios sobre temáticas relevantes\, talleres de formación\, presentaciones de propuestas de innovación y de investigación; así como una sesión de pósters donde los y las participantes podrán exponer sus trabajos y reflexiones. Estas actividades permitirán generar diálogos académicos\, incentivar nuevas líneas de investigación y promover metodologías innovadoras para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la estadística\, la probabilidad y la ciencia de datos\, en diferentes contextos educativos.

DESCRIPTION:The COBAL-EBEB 2027 is an international scientific event that brings together the VIII Latin American Meeting on Bayesian Statistics (COBAL) and the XVIII Brazilian Meeting on Bayesian Statistics (EBEB). Scheduled to take place from March 1 to 5\, 2027\, in Búzios\, Rio de Janeiro\, Brazil. The event will gather the Bayesian community—particularly from Brazil and Latin America—further consolidating its role as an important forum for scientific exchange. \n COBAL is promoted by the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA)\, with the support of several Latin American statistical associations\, including those from Brazil\, Chile\, Colombia\, and Mexico. Its primary goal is to strengthen the integration of Latin American researchers working in Bayesian Statistics. EBEB\, in turn\, has been organized biennially by Brazilian researchers since 1991 and\, since 2000\, by ISBrA (the Brazilian chapter of ISBA). It has played a central role in the consolidation of Bayesian Statistics in Brazil while progressively expanding its international reach. The joint realization of both events enhances their visibility and impact by fostering the convergence of different communities around shared challenges and advances.
