DESCRIPTION:COBAL-EBEB 2024 is an important joint event that encompasses the VII Bayesian Congress of Latin America (COBAL) and the 17th Brazilian Meeting of Bayesian Statistics (EBEB). It will be held from 2 to 6/12/24 at UFMG\, in person. \nCOBAL is an international event promoted by the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA)\, whose importance in our region lies in creating a space that allows dissemination\, discussion\, and interaction among researchers\, academics\, and students\, with the aim of further strengthening scientific exchange among Bayesians in Latin America. ISBRA – the Brazilian Section of ISBA\, was a pioneer in bringing together the Latin American Bayesian community by organizing the first COBAL. \n\n\nThe Brazilian Meeting of Bayesian Statistics (EBEB) is a traditional meeting\, which has been held every two years since 1991. Initially\, the EBEB was organized by groups of Brazilian researchers interested in the dissemination and research growth in Bayesian Statistics in the country. In 2000\, the organization of EBEB became responsibility of the ISBRA board of directors\, which contributed to this event gaining greater international and national recognition. EBEB is an event that aims to strengthen scientific research in the area of ​​Bayesian Statistics\, as well as the dissemination of its applications throughout Brazilian society. Despite being a national event\, EBEB has attracted audiences from neighboring Latin American countries due to the excellence of its scientific programs\, which is attested to by the participation of renowned lecturers and important researchers in all editions of the event. The latest editions have attracted researchers from several countries\, especially from South America\, who have considered EBEB a forum to disseminate research results developed in their countries\, giving a more international and comprehensive character to this important Brazilian event.
